Trainspotting question: Is that a sample from 'Tommy' (The Who's risible '70s Rock Opera) I can hear in the last track on Christ's _Pylonesque_ release? The bloke's voice goes 'See me...' a few times towards the end, sounding remarkably like Roger Daltry doing that old 'See me, feel me, touch me, heal me' routine. Anyone else notice? Incidentally this Christ release is an interesting one. Manages to sound sufficiently individual to go beyond the obvious BoC connection (e.g. off-kilter synth tones, kids' voices). I say 'connection' rather than 'influence', since I believe Christ was a collaborator with the Boardies some time ago and may well have been ploughing the same musical furrow as them all this time without airing his output till now. alan/beyond...sound ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: www-mail.usyd.edu.au --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
